Find out about the big issues in planning today
CPRE's campaigns address many of the core issues facing the countryside today.

Good land-use planning can help slow the growth in road traffic, encourage urban regeneration, curb urban sprawl, protect the beauty and tranquillity of the countryside and safeguard wildlife habitats, if people put pressure on decision makers to do these things.

You can get involved in our campaigns on planning issues

  • Protecting Green Belts
  • Influencing major housebuilding plans
  • stopping sprawl and more.

Join our letter-writing team
We could really use your written help with some of our campaigns.

Our letter-writing team of members and supporters writes letters from time to time to key 'opinion formers' like local MPs, a Government department or a member of the House of Lords.

Won't you join us? The letters we ask people to write are straightforward, politically balanced and don't take long to write.

We supply suggested text highlighting key points, which you are free to amend. We would ask you to write a couple of letters a year.

If you can help, or would like more information, please call our campaigns team (020 7981 2800) or send them an email.
